Andrea Prader

(born December 23, 1919 in Samedan, died. June 3, 2001 in Zurich, Switzerland) - Swiss pediatrician and end ocrinologist. Andrea Prader attended elementary school and junior high school in Zurich, in Zurich, he also studied medicine. He g raduated in 1944 and in 1947 began an internship at Childrens Hospital in Zurich. A specialist in pediatric acquired in 1950, and then specialized further at Bellevue Hospital in New York. Habilitation in 1957, received in 1962 was appointed professor and head of the Department of Pediatrics, University of Zurich, and director of the hospital.
